Feeling Tropical with VOVETI Prosecco

Do you remember the first time you took a sip of wine or prosecco, because I do and truth be told, I hated it. I didn’t like the flavor or the aftertaste. Albeit, I was drinking red wine which is on the bolder side when it comes to flavor profiles. A few weeks later I decided to give it another shot. But this time I wasn’t going as bold as the first. Enter VOVETI. No joke VOVETI was the first sparkling wine I ever tried (and admittedly my last because it was that good). And yes, it was as a mimosa!



The name VOVETI comes from the Latin verb ‘vovero’ meaning ‘to vow’ or ‘to promise’ symbolizing the marriage between the cool climate that the grapes are grown in and the exceptional winemaking craft in northern Italy’s most renowned Prosecco region. After learning this, I immediately wanted to book a flight to this region of Italy! Having never been, it moved up the list.


VOVETI is a brut style DOC with tempered acidity and a fresh, graceful profile. Hailing from the land of pasta (Italy, DUH), VOVETI Prosecco is known for it’s intense fruity flavors. Hints of peach, melon, pear, apple and honeysuckle can be tasted with each sip. Truly a food friendly flavor profile.



Enjoy VOVETI Prosecco on its own as an aperitif or pair with a meal. Here are some suggestions on what to pair it with that will surely leave your taste buds wanting more!


First things first, starters. Try it with prosciutto, antipasti, spring or Caesar salad, garlic bread, cold soups, calamari, risottos, polenta, salami, olives, nuts, chips, mild cheeses, fried zucchini.


Yes, you can enjoy your VOVETTI Prosecco with dinner! It’s not just a mimosa only sparkling wine. Best when paired with fried or baked fish, broiled chicken, seared scallops, steamed crab, skewered shrimp, summer pasta, and Asian cuisine.

Desserts (my favorite meal second to breakfast)

Mildly sweet deserts, fruity deserts, butter cookies, strawberries and panna cotta make for the best pairing.

Feeling inspired by my recent tropical trip to Curaçao I decided to recreate one of my favorite breakfasts: avo toast on gluten free bread with a dash of curry paired with berry and banana overnight oats and all of the tropical fruit with, of course, VOVETI Prosecco. These flavors paired perfectly with the fruity profile of VOVETTI.
