If you’ve been following along for a while now, you know I love the sunshine. If not, I hope my blog title gave it away- lawlz. But in all seriousness, I spend an insane amount of time in the sun. Whether I’m lounging in the pool, sun bathing on the beach, or exploring a tropical destination. As I’ve gotten older I’ve realized how necessary it is to protect and nourish your skin and hair AND how important it is to find the right products to properly do so. Enter: Moroccanoil.
This is a necessity and something I wear every day. Whether you realize it or not, the sun is always shining on your face. Even if you’re in it for as little as 15 minutes! What I love about Moroccanoil’s face SPF is that it doubles as a face moisturizer and sunscreen. And, it isn’t oily which is a major plus! It sets well making it easy to put your makeup on, on top of it. Plus, it is infused with antioxidant rich argan oil- giving you that glowing, hydrated look!
After sun skincare is just as important as your in-sun skincare routine! You’ve just (essentially) baked yourself, so now it’s time to moisturize and replenish. The Moroccanoil Dry Body Oil is perfect for this. It’s weightless and quickly absorbs into your skin to lock in moisture- don’t worry, you won’t be left feeling oily. Spray a thin layer on your skin post shower and follow with a body butter for an extra boost.
Yes, it is just as important to nourish your hair as well! I’ve written about this before, but it is so important to recognize the harsh effects weather can have on your locks. It doesn’t matter if you color your hair or not- protecting it from breakage, color fading, frizz, and dryness is an absolute must. I am soo guilty of just letting my hair go- to the point where my split ends can be spotted from a mile away, my color has faded, and my strands are left looking like straw- all because I didn’t properly care for it. This Moroccanoil Treatment is the OG. The original treatment that hit the market years ago. The brand has perfected the formula complete with shine-boosting vitamins and argan oil.
I apply one pump to my freshly cleaned, towel dried hair beginning mid length and spreading it down to my ends. Avoid your scalp. I only use one pump because I usually wash my hair every other day and I find if I use more than one pump my hair appears oily faster than if I only use one pump. Bonus: use this on dry hair to tame pesky flyaways, condition and lessen the appearance of split ends, and smooth your overall look.
Moroccanoil has a number of different products. You can find them here, all organized by product type and use. There are a number of travel sized products too– my personal favs are the smoothing shampoo and conditioner.
This post is written in partnership with Moroccanoil. As always, my opinions are my own.
