Okay let’s face it. Chances are you’ve fallen off your health kick once or twice (read: weekly) since ringing in the New Year. Hey, that’s alright you’re only human. I tend not to make resolutions because I don’t like setting myself up for failure. Example: I told myself I would stop drinking coffee and replace it with green tea. One week later I was back at Starbucks sitting at the drive-thru waiting to order my usual venti cold brew with soy milk and lite ice. This wasn’t even a resolution! This was just me trying to kick a habit. Complete fail.
Fast forward to now. Still ordering coffee. But like I said, we’re only human.
I’ve read about juicing and all of the health benefits of juice in general but I never really hopped on board, mostly because its just another expensive habit, like coffee. I’ve tried juices while out to breakfast, carrot orange is my go to hangover cure, or when I’m running errands all around town like a crazy person and need a pick me up.
Also, the thought of green juice just grosses me out. Its like drinking grass.

After a little reading up on the company I discovered three of the juices were part of the 1-Day Renewal. This cleanse is meant to get you back on track and jumpstart your healthy eating habits. I am already a very healthy eater, aside from the occasional donut or latte, but I’ve always wanted to try a cleanse. This was the perfect way to do it because it incorporated solid food and juices, rather than a straight up liquid diet. Baby steps people.
Today, I enjoyed three juices and three mini-meals, think breakfast, lunch, and dinner, on the 1-Day Renewal- follow me on Snapchat to see more (hrheaume). I started my day with Daybreak Probiotic, followed by Noon Greens, and ending with Twilight Protein. In between each of those juices I had a mini-meal. These meals were designed to deliver all of the necessary macronutrients to keep you feeling satisfied and energized throughout the day. For my mini-meals I chose the chia seed overnight oats for breakfast, for lunch I had one can of tuna fish over a bed of leafy greens, and for dinner I went with the sweet potato topped with a tablespoon of almond butter. I have to be honest, I was skeptical at first. I didn’t believe I would have energy and remain full throughout the day. BUT, I did. I. Was. Shocked. The portions were perfect and the juices tasted delicious. Even Noon Greens. It didn’t taste the least bit grassy. I guess I shouldn’t be so judgy. The Daybreak Probiotic was my favorite, it tasted like spicy lemonade. And Twilight Protein was sweet, almost dessert like, so it was nice to end the day on a high note. The juices helped stop the cravings I was having and seriously kept me full, all day long. And, I never felt the bloating I would normally get on a regular day of eating. The 1-Day Renewal was just what I needed to reset my system. You could say I’m a Suja Juice lifer.
If I could do one thing differently I would have had my regular morning coffee (or some sort of caffeine) because I get headaches when I don’t have caffeine and because it was Monday.
