The World’s Largest Revolving Globe

As I child I was in love with astronomy. Something about “outer space” was always so appealing. So when given the chance to see a three dimensional model of the earth, I was game! Not to mention, Eartha is the world’s largest revolving globe, as named by the Guinness Book of World Records. Flash forward some 15 years later, I found my way back. This time with a much different obsession: travel.

Eartha

I wanted to see for myself just how far away Asia really is from lil’ ol’ me in Maine. It’s far. I also wanted to sit and daydream in the silence of this library like atmosphere. In doing so I successfully found 20 more places to add to my bucketlist. UGH!

A few purchased maps and a trip across the world later, my mom and I made our way to Freeport. It is always a good day for outlet shopping, and 50 degree weather just makes it that much better!

I took a risk with these braids. And I’m happy I did. I’ve seen so many celebs rocking the two braid look and I’ve loved it since day one! Never thought I could pull it off- but I guess I did! I received many-a-compliments along with a few stares. I’ll definitely be dawning this look again. Maybe on my long haul flight? Speaking of flight, how darling are these airplane earrings? When I saw them I just had to have them. Guess it’s the wanderluster in me.

You might not be able to tell from the pictures above but these are leather leggings. Who am I kidding… *faux leather leggings. And they are hella comfy! Perfect for a day out and about. I opted for this poncho and a turtleneck underneath. One of my favorite ways to accessorize an outfit is with a poncho or kimono, especially over a pair of leggings. They can definitely dress up a rather casual look. Think athleisure, but better.

Now that you have the low down on my weekend, what did you do?
