Fashion Friday: The Dress of all Dresses

I don’t think I will ever be able to let go of bright colors. No matter what the season is I need a pop of color and this yellow dress is my most prized possession. The dress of all dresses. You know when you are on Pinterest and you find something that you just can’t live without? This is it.

I found a yellow, long sleeve maxi dress on Pinterest about three years ago. I researched that dress for months and could never find it. But then, a year ago, I found this maxi! And although this looks nothing like the original one I wanted I still fell in love. Fun fact: this is only my second time wearing it. Can we also talk about this turquoise necklace for a second? I love mixing different colors together because it adds contrast to the overall look. As we approach Fall today was the perfect day to pull out all of the Summer stops- including this white Rebecca Minkoff cross body bag that I refuse to retire after Labor Day.

Back to the real reason you’re here. I purchased this dress at Old Navy. AND get this: it was under $40! Obviously this dress is no longer available I’ve listed some lookalikes for you to browse.

Featured on this post is Forage Market and The Vault. Forage Market offers coffee and espresso, freshly baked bagels from their wood fired oven and assorted pastries. The lunch menu changes weekly to feature local and seasonal ingredients. A changing menu allows Forage to create specials that best utilize the quality products provided by local farmers and foragers. Constant menu items are soups, salads and sandwiches, one of which is always vegetarian and vegan.

The Vault caters to the beginning wine lover, as well as the seasoned connoisseur. Craft beers are always in stock and new beers arrive weekly. Sample an assortment of olive oils or attend a wine tasting on the last Friday of every month. If you catch them on a good day you can even snag some cold brew coffee- fresh!

I am lucky to be from a city with a growing downtown area. That is my favorite thing about any city! They are walkable, shoppable, and if your up for it you can even grab a bite! What are your favorite things to do in the city?
